n00b lesson learned today; copper ore nodes go WAY deeper than I thought. I'd just been hitting the top bit that shows, and probably 2-3 layers deep. Today I decided to fully dig out a node to see how big they really are I feel like I wasted the first 4 nodes

I've been playing for over 2000 hours, and I can never get a copper seam to shatter until way late into the process. I've cleared all around the edges and underneath. Is there something I'm missing? (Use a mod is not the answer I'm looking for here.) :) : r
